Would it sound really bad if I blamed God?
I guess if I don't REPRESENT, I better take the blame instead! So I'm givin' it my all and tryin' to hang with the best of 'em (shout out Scott Williams!)
Alright, so you're reading this, for some reason, and I'm glad you are! But let's get one thing straight from the git go - I suck. You actually suck too but we won't get into that just now cuz that would just be rude, you just poppin' in for the first time like this (although you didn't bring any snacks). Anyway, yeah, I'm a broken and mangled mess... and thank God. If it has taken all the mistakes I've made to be where I am today, well I wouldn't want to cause the pain to those I love again... but I wouldn't change anything since all of it has led me into the loving and eternal arms of God.
That said, and all the hype of the party scene aside, Jesus is the reason I'm here and why I'm doing this (and able to do this). That may be a turn off for you and I completely understand - I used to be there and maybe worse! Before you check out though, what if I said "Free drinks all night long and every day!" Oh you know some Closet Christians are sayin' heck yeah! Crazy analogy I know but think about it - this is what Jesus said in John 7, "Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, `Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.'" Living water? How crazy cool is that? And we wanna break open a cold one! All I'm sayin' is... well I guess that's what the rest of this little cyber lounge is for...

And one last thing... the truth is, you and I actually don't suck at all, not if we know Jesus - God doesn't see our sin like we think he does but he says his perfect Son in us instead! So saying I suck is like saying God sucks... yeah that's not good. |
